Privacy Policy
This policy covers information collected through this website. Client data residing on equipment we process is governed by your services agreement, not by this policy — the difference is explained below.

1. Who we are
This website is operated by WesternTechSystems, Inc. ("WesternTechSystems", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the State of Texas, United States, with its principal place of business at 1000 Spinks Road, Suite 100, Lewisville, TX 75067, United States.
You can contact us about this policy by email at contactus@westerntechsystems.com, by phone at +1 (469) 718-0004, or by mail at the address above.
2. Two different kinds of information — and why the distinction matters
Because of what we do, it is important to separate two things that are often confused:
- Website information. Information you provide to us through this website, or that is collected automatically when you visit it. That is what this Privacy Policy governs.
- Client data on equipment we process. Data residing on IT assets that a client sends us for sanitization, refurbishment or disposition. That data is not governed by this Privacy Policy. It is governed by the services agreement, data processing terms and confidentiality obligations between WesternTechSystems and that client, and it is handled under the controls described in our secure data destruction and chain of custody practices.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy grants any right of access to, or creates any obligation regarding, data held on client equipment.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you contact us by email, telephone or post, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, business email address, telephone number, employer, and the content of your enquiry. If you apply for a role with us, we receive the information contained in your application and any attachments.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information, confidential technical details, credentials or regulated data through unsecured email. If your enquiry requires that, tell us and we will arrange an appropriate channel.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site is served through infrastructure that records standard technical information for security, reliability and abuse prevention. That may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of the request.
Cookies and analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Where we use analytics, it is to measure aggregate site performance and content usefulness, not to build profiles of individual visitors, and we do not sell information collected through this site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so will not prevent you from using this site.
4. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and to provide information you have asked for.
- To scope, quote, deliver and support services under a contract with your organization.
- To consider applications for employment.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve this website.
- To meet legal, regulatory, certification and audit obligations that apply to our operations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. When we share information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. Vendors who host, secure, or support this website and our business systems, acting on our instructions and bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements. Where disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority.
- Protection of rights. Where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to investigate, prevent or respond to suspected fraud, security incidents, or violations of our terms.
- Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and thereafter for as long as required to meet legal, contractual, certification and audit obligations. Retention periods for records generated in the course of delivering services — including asset records and sanitization certificates — are set by the applicable client agreement and by the requirements of the standards we operate under.
7. Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration and destruction. These include network segregation, multi-factor authentication, least-privilege access control, encryption of data in transit and at rest, monitoring and logging, and physical access controls at our facility.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, contact us at contactus@westerntechsystems.com.
8. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may ask us to stop sending you communications. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, or under applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
To exercise any of these, contact us at contactus@westerntechsystems.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Some information cannot be deleted on request where we are required to retain it — for example records that form part of a certified audit trail or that are subject to a legal hold.
9. Where information is processed
This website is hosted in the United States and our primary operations are located in the United States, with an operation in Canada. If you access this site from outside those countries, information you submit will be transferred to and processed in them, where data protection law may differ from the law of your own jurisdiction.
10. Third-party links
This site may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Review their policies before providing information.
11. Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by a prominent notice on this site where appropriate.
